Warriors' talisman Therdsak Chaiman returned to the starting line-up after missing the 0-5 drubbing by Kashima Antlers, but the midfield maestro was unable to prevent the Warriors from falling to a 1-2 defeat to Brunei's DPMM FC in a top-of-the-table clash at the Hassanal Bolkiah Stadium in Bandar Seri Begawan.
Therdsak scored a late goal in the 89th minute, but the damage had already been done earlier. Ivan Jerkovic opened accounts in front of the partisan home crowd after just seven minutes and Abdelhamid Berguiga doubled DPMM's advantage two minutes after the break.
DPMM, which was still unbeaten in the league, were reduced to 10 men in the 78th minute when Pg Sallehuddin Damit received his marching orders for a second bookable offence.
But that did not matter for the Bruneian side, who now lead the table, one point ahead of the Warriors.
