Home slip to Super Reds

SINGAPORE – Home United failed to maintain the momentum from their 5-1 hammering of Valencia in the AFC Cup last Tuesday as the Protectors went down 1-0 to the Super Reds on their return to domestic duty.

Park Han-seok scored the only goal of the game in the 28th minute to consign Home to their fifth defeat of the 2009 S.League season, putting them a disappointing seventh in the 12-team competition after ten rounds

Home’s indifferent domestic form stands in stark contrast to that in this year’s AFC Cup, with the 2004 quarter-finalists leading Group H with nine points from four matches, two more than both Binh Duong and Thai champions Provincial Electricity Authority.
