DPMM and SAFFC in top of table clash Sunday

Brunei DPMM will be entertaining SAFFC at home on Sunday in a top of table clash without the service of inspirational Korean striker Oh Ddog Yi.

The Korean will be out of the crucial game after picking four yellow cards which carries a penalty of one suspension.

Brunei DPMM coach Siminic said in an interview,"Its bad news for Brunei DPMM that Korean striker Oh Ddog Yi will miss the game due to suspension after collecting four yellow cards in previous matches."

"With Oh out of the match, Abdel Hamid will be called upon in the starting line-up."

Simunic revealed that other key players like Rene Komar and Sairol Saari are also at risk after picking three yellow cards respectively, a card away of being suspended.

The Croatain coach is also worried about the condition of Abu Bkar Mahari who might also miss the SAFFC match-up.

"I am abit worried about Abu Bakar who sustained an ankle injury during training last Monday. He has already missed 6 days of training and we have only a few days to assess his situation," Simunic said.

However Simunic has urged hsi players to remain cool headed and calm for the Sunday clash.

"We are mentally prepared and we have to remain calm and cool headed. Like a lion, we can strike the opponent hard."

"I hope all local fans would come to the stadium to support our team on Sunday. I want to see a full stadium rooting for our players in thsi crucial game, he added.

SAFFC who were just handed a thumping defeat by J-League champion Kashima Antlers at the AFC Champions League in Tokyo last Wednesday may be out of steam when they arrived Brunei.

However, Simunic is cautious as SAFFC have been champions in the S-League for the past years and possessed some of the best players in the league.

A win on Sunday will not only send DPMM to the top of the table but also will be a perfect birthday gift for Simunic whose birthday falls on april 26.
