SINGAPORE: English Premier League (EPL) club Tottenham Hotspur will not be coming to Singapore for a friendly match after all.
The game against a Singapore Selection was initially scheduled for May 30 at the National Stadium.
But the tour to the region which included a stopover in Hanoi was cancelled, as players who have just finished featuring in the EPL season are slated to return home to compete in international matches in June.
The arrival of Spurs in Singapore would have been the first EPL club since that of Liverpool and Manchester United in 2001.
