Third in Group H by goal difference after a win and a lost in their first two games, Home United needed a win in this match to boost their hopes to qualify for the next round of the AFC Cup.
Home United come to this match after a morale boosting match against Woodlands Wellington which we saw Home United trash Woodlands Wellington 4-0. Their hat-trick hero on that match Norikazu Murakami will not get the action to play on this AFC game as he was not registered. AFC Cup which only allows a maximum of 3 foreign players per team. Leaving Norikazu Murakami out of the squad. The three foreign players that will play for Home United for this AFC Cup is Ludo, Peres and Valery. Home United will feel the absent of Norikazu Murakami in this AFC Cup.
