ACL plus for Project Future coaches

KUALA LUMPUR: An AFC Champions League match will provide the backdrop for a group of 17 budding coaches later this month.

Seventeen coaches will participate in the AFC Project Future Coaches Batch 2008 Refresher Course from April 20-24 in Dubai.

During the course, the group will go behind the scenes for the ACL clash between Al Ahli, of United Arab Emirates, and Saudi Arabia’s Al Hilal on April 22.

It will provide the coaches a great opportunity to observe a club preparing for a home match as well as another club getting ready for an away game.

The four women and 13 men successfully passed the AFC Project Future Selection Course in Kuala Lumpur last November.

The course is a joint effort between AFC and the UAE Football Association. AFC Elite Coaching Instructor Ahmad Omer Sh Festok, of Qatar, will be conducting the course.
