Valencia hits injury blow, but Dzurjack is hopeful
Male’, MALDIVES - Valencia coach Dzurjack is hopeful that they can get a win against Home United of Singapore in their next game of ongoing AFC Cup. Valencia is yet to win a game in the competition, lying at the bottom of the table with two straight defeats. When facing another tough opponent like Home United, Valencia's next big concern is the injury of five players.
“We haven’t won any game yet but still we are hopeful that we can get a win tomorrow” Dzurjack said in the news conference today.
“We have five players injured, still we are not hopeless” He said.
Dzurjack’s next concern is facing Home United after the team haven’t played a competitive game for so long.
“League games are temporarily stopped and we haven’t played a competitive game for some time and that will have an impact on players’ fitness level”
Valencia must deal the Singapore outfit without injured keeper Imran, Rifau, Ubaidhu, Imma and Hungarian player Richard.
Meanwhile Home United coach Sivaji also reiterated that they couldn’t perform well due to tight league fixtures back at home. He also noted that it is quite difficult to perform well at late afternoon.
Valencia and Home United's game will start at 1600hrs local time tomorrow, while VB sports will face PSMS Medan of Indonesia away from home.
