Fatigue finally took its toll on the Warriors as they lost 2-3 to Woodlands Wellington at the Choa Chu Kang Stadium on Sunday.
It was the Warriors' fourth game in 12 days, including a trip to Shanghai in the AFC Champions League. Although Park Tae Won gave the Warriors the lead in the 20th minute and John Wilkinson doubled it 14 minutes later, the second half belonged to the Rams, who are helmed by Warriors' old boy Nenad Bacina.
Nenad had served the Warriors with distinction from 2000 to 2004 when he proved to be a rock of Gibraltar in the Warriors' backline.
Another old boy Jamil Ali pulled one back for the Rams four minutes after the break before Iranian forward Mojtaba Tehranizadeh headed in Azlan Alipah's free-kick. Jamil then delivered the sucker punch 11 minutes from time to give the Rams their first win this season.
