SINGAPORE: SAFFC scored a thumping 6-0 win over Albirex Niigata at the Choa Chu Kang Stadium on Thursday evening.

It was a largely tepid affair in the first half as the Warriors rarely played like champions, until Ahmad Latiff Khamarudin's half-volley rocketed off the underside of the crossbar before bouncing inwards to put the hosts ahead in the 32nd minute.

Aleksandar Duric doubled the tally in the 37th minute when he scored off a Park Tae Won's cross from the left.

John Wilkinson made it 3-0 in the 42nd minute from a corner.

Park's low cross from the left flank in the 54th minute saw Duric complete the process with a textbook finish from close range amid a crumbled White Swans' backline, and goalkeeper Yoshito Matsushita's failure to smother a Therdsak Chaiman shot saw Wikinson took full advantage with a tap-in in the 74th minute.

Duric completed his hat-trick in the 90th minute with a shot from the edge of the box, with Matsushita out of position.

In another match held at Woodlands Stadium, Woodlands Wellington and Gombak United played to a 1-1 draw. - S.League.com
