Brunei DPMM climbs another spot.

Brunei DPMM climbs up another ladder after they defeated Woodlands Wellington making them lied in third spot - a great achievement so far.

The elite local team are one of the 5 undefeated teams in this one of the top 10 leagues in Asia and has becoming a threat for the other teams and this tells the other teams that they are serious in this league.

On top of that head coach, Simunic wants the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium to be so called the "impossible" for the visitors team and they have shown bt defeating the runners-up last season,Super Reds and beating Woodlands with a same score.

"Discipline and high motivation are major factors that led to the team's current form. The arrival of local fans that have been increasing also led to the team's form," said Simunic that urge the visitors team to go home empty handed every time playing in Brunei.

On the other hand, Simunic believe that the other teams are also cautious when they are playing with us, so he urges his boys to doubled the effort to stregthen the teamwork of the team.

"All the teams in this league are very good. The league standings will change constantly. We also don't want to be left behind," he said.

The arrival of the Algerian striker, Abdel Hamid Berguiga that completes the 4 imports for DPMM came at the right time.

He just received his International Transfer Certificate(ITC) several days ago and play the last 30 minutes and he really showed his class in the game although he came less than 48 hours before the game long way from Africa.

His physique and speed gave a positive impact and the other night, he proved that his presence really gave a hard time for the Woodlands defenders which led to a penalty that give DPMM a win.

"We hope Abdel will give more contribution to the team.He will be able to give confidence to the team," added Simunic after watching his debut against the Woodlands.
