Brunei DPMM FC will be looking to extend its unbeaten run at the S League when they face Geylang United FC away on Thursday, March 12 at Stadium Bedok in Singapore.

Both teams have actually met a number of occasions, the latest was last year in a friendly game where Brunei DPMM FC won 1-0.

It's not easy for opponents to win points at the home of Geylang United FC also known as the Eagles.

Brunei DPMM FC's coach Vjeran Simunic also acknowledged that Geylang United's advantage of never losing on home ground.

In an interview yesterday, the Croatian coach said: "The game against Geylang United FC will be a very open game because Geylang have never been defeated at home. They are a home-based team with huge supporters."

However, he said: "After a win against Woodlands, we will carry the momentum to face Geylang and try to continue our undefeated record. We will play the same spirit as we did in the previous games against Super Reds and Woodlands. . I hope that we can get all three points from the game."

"We just recovered from a big game against Woodlands, and in two days time, we have to face Geyland United away in Singapore. I know about Geylang United FC, they are one of many good teams in the S League with four experienced imports that are regulars in S League, especially Miroslav Latiak and Rastislav Belicak of Slovakia are very good players and they might cause us a few problems," he added.

Touching on the issues of exhaustion after playing three games within a week, Simunic said: "At the moment, everyone is fit to play. I will bring the usual first starting 11 to Singapore. However if any player feel that they are too tired or not feeling well enough to start, we have capable and ready players to stand in as replacement. So I am not worried."

On Brunei DPMM FC's impressive run, he said: "We are in a comfortable situation for us to have won twice and drew once in the first three games of the league. But we can't be complacent, we will continue to fight until our last breath for a win."

Speaking about the new import Abdel Hamid Berguiga of Algeria, the coach revealed that the player is under immense stress because it's the first time that he has joined a club overseas. And currently, we are still trying to build a common communication with him because he can only speaks French.
